There have been a number of trails using the prototype. The brandy, I was preparing with a friend did taste well strait from the still. As I had not alcohol meter at hand we guessed that it would have about 40 % (ABV). Starting with an ordinary white wine that is not bad, considering it is only one distillation.
Since yesterday, I am the happy owner of an alcohol meter. Luckily I had some left overs from that brandy at hand. Surprise. The measurement reads 38 % (ABV). That confirms the microstill works pretty effective and produces a decent alcohol content in just one run.
Ofcourse, multiple distillation steps follow later on. Simply to see what purity of alcohol can be reached. For a start, I am dazzled how well the microstill works.
